Here's Sandy West, drummer for the Runaways singing 'Wild Thing'. She died of lung cancer on Saturday Oct. 21st. She wasn't even 50.
Sandy was such a powerful drummer. She totally opened the door for girls like me. Thank god for the Runaways!
This video really rocks. Remember these girls were all teenagers back then.

can you imagine being a teenage boy at a runaways concert? i think your male parts would just fly outta your pants and stow themselves away under sandy's drumkit..
they even made that mime stuff seem cool!
